Owner Bill Bender worked as the Lead Toyota Technician for Toyota of West Hartford in Connecticut in 1976. He went on to open Independent Datsun (now Independent Motors) in January, 1983. In 1985 we expanded to include all Toyota repairs. Over the years Independent Motors has employed many Toyota Master Technicians. One even went on to work for a prominent Formula One racing team. Our Master Technician Tony Madrigal has been repairing Toyota cars, trucks and SUVs since 1985. Toyota introduced Lexus to the US market in 1989. With our extensive Toyota experience it was an easy transition to repair Lexus vehicles. We have since expanded to repairing all Asian and Domestic makes and models, but we still specialize in repairing all Lexus vehicles.

Along with our 260 years of combined experience, we use the latest state of the art technology to diagnose and repair your Lexus car or SUV. We use a combination of genuine Lexus parts, OEM (original equipment manufactures) parts and aftermarket parts to ensure that your Lexus maintains its highest level of performance at the best cost.
